MY DREAM JOB
(Friday through Monday) Most Labor Day weekend activities are focused away from work, but that won't be true at the Children's Museum of Manhattan, which is using the holiday as an opportunity for young visitors to learn about careers. As part of its Raising Citizens program, a yearlong educational initiative that explores America's values through its holidays, the museum has invited various professionals to lead workshops and discuss their jobs. The speakers will include Vladimir Baron, one of the museum's educators, who founded a T-shirt company (Friday); Joel Jeske, an actor and clown (Saturday); local firefighters (Sunday); and Sarah Farzam, founder of Bilingual Birdies, a children's language program (Monday). Friday from 5 to 8 p.m.; Saturday through Monday at 3 and 4 p.m., the Tisch Building, 212 West 83rd Street, , (212) 721-1223, cmom.org; free with museum admission: $10; $7 for 65+; free for under 1; free to all this Friday from 5 to 8 p.m.
